Description:

Have you ever need a part that wasn't there like a water meter or air relief valve in a pressure network? In this session, we'll create and modify Pressure Network Catalog Parts that you can use in your model or share with others. You will learn how to create, manipulate and implement Pressure Network Parts in Civil 3D 2018, as well as how to update the Pressure Network Catalog in Civil 3D, and then use your newly created parts in a pressure network in your model. We'll demonstrate the workflow and process of editing and creating Pressure Network Parts in Civil 3D and creating a pressure network. In addition, we'll review best practices, workarounds, shortcuts, and the pros and cons of using pressure networks in Civil 3D.

 

Learning Objectives:

*             Describe best practices for editing and creating parts for pressure networks in Civil 3D.

*             Use Civil 3D to create and edit Pressure Network Parts.

*             Update the Pressure Network Catalog with the new parts you created or edited in Civil 3D for use in your design.

*             Use the parts that you created for your project design for clients by implementing them in Construction documents

 

Audience:

Civil Designers and Engineers who are interested in creating and editing their own parts for Pressure Networks in Civil 3D.

 

Type:

Instructional Demo or Lab, optional really.  Mean for Intermediate -Advanced users.

Users should be familiar with pressure parts in Civil 3D and have some knowledge of 3D drafting.
